Fibre fragmentation from Textiles

As our understanding of the environmental impact of fibre fragmentation grows, organisations want to know what they can do to make product change to mitigate fibre fragmentation. To achieve this, we must first understand how the design of a textile affects fibre fragmentation. The Microfibre Data Portal now holds over 800 tested fabrics with microfibre loss data alongside detailed fabric specifications. Our analysis of this data has enabled us to identify the key drivers of fibre fragmentation and thus, research priorities for the future. This session will look to provide a broad understanding of the issue, share some insights from our recent analysis of The Microfibre Data Portal and identify ways you can work with your suppliers today, to create product change.
